Septic Inspection
-$269 Identify and inspect the accessible components of the septic system (tank capacity and contents, internal baffles and filters, pumps and alarms and leach field analysis and probe). Includes filing with local County Health Department if required in a property transfer. This inspection is tailored for what is needed in a real estate transaction to determine, in harmony with the local jurisdiction, if a system is generally functioning so as not presenting a public health hazard. Efforts will be made to identify any precautionary conditions that may exist within a system. Maintenance suggestions made in the report will improve the odds that a system will continue to operate properly.

IOWPA Septic Evaluation(includes pumping up to 1000 gal)
-$725 Our most comprehensive septic inspection, following the protocol of the standards set by the state of Indiana. This is required in some cases.
Well and Component Exam/Water Treatment Devices
-$125 Includes a visual inspection of the above ground well casing, cap, and electric conduit as well as confirming an appropriate distance from the septic drain area. Internal components will be tested using standard operational controls to establish the condition of the pressure tank, switch, and pump. Tank is observed for excessive rust, leaking and bladder will be checked for defect (water-logging, stretching). Switch will be observed for arching, corrosion and smooth operation. Pump recharge rate will be assessed and flow rate of at least 5 gpm will be established. Pressure parameters will be measured and suggestions will be given to optimize the cycle as a whole. As a courtesy, FIREFLY INSPECTION will include observation and assessment of water treatment devices. In offering maintenance suggestions and further treatment options, FIREFLY INSPECTION will guide client to achieve water that is pleasant for use.
-$90 Well Calibration Service, includes adjusting well pressure parameters and tank pressure to increase the efficiency of the system, optimizing the well cycle will elongating the life of the pump and ensure pressure that is stable and appropriate for your needs.
Water Quality Testing
-$135 Basic Water Contaminates Test, Includes the physical collection of a water sample from the kitchen sink or R.O. tap to be lab tested. Lab operates under official EPA and specific county guidelines. If contaminants are identified in the sample, treatment recommendations and re-testing procedure will be outlined by FIREFLY INSPECTION to achieve water that is safe for use.
-$75 add on to basic water test for VA/FHA loan requirements(T.Coliform/E.Coli, Nitrates/Nitrites, Arsenic, Lead)
-$375 Shock treat well, flush and re-test, for wells that test positive for bacteria.
-$65 Test for lead in water (Recommended for homes built prior to 1970).
-$65-85 Re-test fee for various contaminates.

-$100 Septic Follow Up, let us take the guesswork out of answering questions regarding your septic system's pumping and maintenance schedule. We will measure solids and re-inspect internal tank components and service filters and advise you on establishing a service schedule based on your usage habits, potentially saving thousands over time in avoiding unnecessary pumping costs.
